University of Iowa Linebacker coach, Darrell Wilson returns to LWFA for the 2nd time this year. Coach Wilson’s passion for developing players and young people is evident by his extensive teaching and coaching background. Wilson, whose recruiting areas cover New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Philadelphia area & Dallas/Ft. Worth area, is entering his 10th season with the Hawkeyes. Prior to his arrival at Iowa, Darrell made coaching stops at the University of Wisconsin, Rutgers and Rhode Island. Before his collegiate coaching career began, Wilson compiled a 65-18 record as head coach at Woodrow Wilson High School in Camden, NJ, and was named Camden’s “Citizen of the Year” for his commitment to the community. In addition to being an excellent coach, Darrell also excelled as a player in both the NFL and CFL. He also earned All-America honors as a Defensive Back at Connecticut.
