LWFA is thrilled that Reese Morgan, one of the most successful high school coaches in Iowa prep history, will be returning for his 3rd year on the LWFA staff. Coach Morgan’s passion for developing players and young people is evident by his extensive teaching and coaching background. Morgan, whose recruiting areas include Iowa, South Dakota, Nebraska and Southern Minnesota, is entering his 14th season with the Iowa Hawkeyes – 2nd as Defensive Line coach. During his coaching career, Morgan has either coached or recruited 41 NFL players—24 of whom were drafted (five in the 1st round), four national award winners, 12 All-Americans, 54 All-Big Ten selections—including 19 first teamers—and four Big Ten Lineman of the Year. Prior to joining the Hawkeye staff, Reese was Assistant Principal and Dean of Students at Iowa City West HS, where he led the Trojans to three Class 4A state titles. Morgan also spent 20 years as a teacher and coach at Benton Community HS where he coached Outland Trophy winner and College Football Hall of Famer, Chad Hennings.
